Chinese Brush Painting
Chinese brush painting is one of the oldest art forms in the world. It has seen continuous development over the last six thousand years, and involves similar techniques to that of calligraphy. Calligraphy is regarded as one of the highest forms of Chinese art, and has a history as long as China itself. Serving as a way to convey thoughts while showcasing the abstract beauty of the line, calligraphy captures rhythm and structure more perfectly than brush painting. Together, using a combination of ancient techniques, they create captivating works of art.
